The Refuge of the Mountaineering Club (E.O.S.) of Lasithi has been dominating since 1992 at the location Strovili, at an altitude of 1358 meters, above the Limnákaro Plateau of the Dikti mountain range.

Access is gained by a 2-hour hike from Avrakóndes, following the European Path E4, while there is also an agricultural road of 8 km in length. From here, one can hike to the peaks of Spathi (2148m), Psari Madara, and Afentis Christos (2141m), as well as reach Selakano via the European Path E4.

The refuge can accommodate 12 people who stay in rooms with bunk beds. Pillows and blankets are provided, but visitors must bring their own sheets, pillowcases, or sleeping bags. The refuge is available by arrangement with the Lasithi Mountaineering Club.
